Amazing Race, Amazing Man

I have alot to say about this man. A little over two years ago he was (to himself) about 45lbs over weight,soo...........he started running and like Forrest never stopped. He had been running for about a year and finally realized unless he had a goal and something worth while to train for it was all for nothing. Two years later here he is.... 45lbs lighter and looking pretty good. He ran the St. George marathon and did amazing! Most of my family was there to cheer him on and proud we are. He continues to amaze me. While I sit on the couch eating bon bons, he keeps running and pushing himself to the next level. I wish I had his drive.

After our vacation in Aspen Grove we thought it would be
fun to take our kids on the alpine slides. We had a blast
playing together. It was a peaceful few days with our kids.

We went to Aspen Grove with Ty's family right after his parents returned from the Philippines.

We really enjoed ourselves and so did the kids. What's not to love...kids gone all day, activities galore, no cooking, no cleaning, creamery ice cream, cool nights and good wholesome family fun. My kids loved going to their groups everyday, getting dirty, learning new songs, and making new friends. Thanks to Dave and Nancy for a fun trip.

Fourth of July

For the fourth of July we were able to go up to Ty's
parents cabin with his two brothers and their families.
It was really nice to escape the heat for a few days and play
with our favorite people.

In June the kids and I were able to visit with my

family and hang with my nephew Josh before he

left on his mission. I always love seeing my family.

The last weekend in April all my sisters, sister in-laws, and my mom made it out to Scottsdale for a long over due girls weekend. It was the first time we have all been together without our husbands. We had sooooooooooo much Fun. It's always nice to get a way and just be a girl. No mom, no wife, just you. Sometimes it's hard to remember how fun you really are when you are surrounded by kids all day. We were able to hang out and catch up on each others lives. I miss them all so much. I owe my husband big time, he took work off for two days and watched the kids, no help from anyone. He's amazing!

State

Cole did really well at his last meet, which was state. He placed 3rd over all.

He has improved so much, since he started 2 years ago. It has been a huge commitment

on Cole and me, but it has affected our whole family. He had practices three nights a week for 3 hours each time and 8 meets through out the season. After state they wanted Cole to move up to the next level, which would be 4 nights a weeks for 4 hour practices, we have thought long and hard about it and decided to take a break. Who knows how long it will be, maybe forever.(I hope) I have loved having Cole back and not to mention my time from driving the taxi there and back so much.

Cole has some amazing talent and will do well no matter what he does. We love you Cole!

Easter

I'm a little behind on my blogging. Life has taken over.

It seems time goes faster and faster the older my kids get.

I'm trying so hard to enjoy every moment.

Easter was so laid back this year and quite enjoyable.

I will miss it when my kids are to old to hunt for eggs, I love seeing how

excited they get.

Horsin' Around

Every year we put on an event... Horsin' Around for an oragnization called Save the Family. We have grown to love and continue to love these families and the volunteers. This year went so well, the weather could not have been better. We had the famous Cooper's Cowboy breakfast, carnival games, horse rides, ropin' demos, bounce houses, face painting, and so much fun visiting with the kids and their families. BIG THANKS to all of you who helped pull off another Fabulous Horsin' Around. James, Ash, Mom, and Dad, we missed you...can't wait for next year....You'll be in charge.

We took some of our friends to
our Cabin in Pinetop this past weekend.
Our girls happen to love playing and hanging out
with their girls. They play really well together,
which is hard to find when you have some pretty
bossy girls. (mine) We had a great time,
hanging out, telling stories, and of course building
a "snow woman." No boy talk when these
girls are concerned. It was a blast to get out
of town and be worry free for a couple of days.

I Love St. George.......

After Christmas we took a short trip to

St.George to visit with some of my family.

If I had it my way we would have already moved there.

For being a small town, there is so much to do and see.

I had a blast hanging with my family.....I miss them so.

mylee. (she's our non-hiker) She sang the whole way up.

Of course my kids thought cliff jumping into the sand would be fun..

A Christmas Story

I'm a little behind on my blogging. We had a wonderful, low key Christmas. Christmas Eve we had a few of Ty's sister's and their families over for our Mexican fiesta and of course our rendition of the Christmas story. I absolutely love Ty's family. I'm especially grateful to have them as close as they are.

Cole is our very talented gymnast! This was the first meet of the season. Cole didn't do all that well himself, but their team placed first. Cole has really enjoyed gymnastics and is quite good. The team has some really strong boys this year. Hopefully that will help them in upcoming meets.

THANKSGIVING WEEK!

On Monday, Kristen came down from BYU to visit and my kids were so excited to see her and have her stay with us. She came with me on Wednesday to see Kate run the turkey trot against the 5th and 6th graders@ her school. She won FOURTH place! At the end of the race Kate was running side by side a girl, but then out of nowhere she took off and ended up beating the other girl by a few seconds. When the other girl finished she burst into tears. Kate and I chuckled. Boy, it stinks to be a LOSER!

We went to St. George for thanksgiving to visit with my sister Rena and her family. Our family always looks forward to this trip. We just love St. George! Tyler and I have decided if he ever loses his job, we are moving there. Dixie Rock is one of my kids favorite places to visit when we are there. They would climb around the rocks all day if we let them. That day it was a little chilly, but the Fall weather was a nice change.

The kids had such a good time @ my sister Rena's house. Swimming, jumping on the new trampoline, and playing with their cousins. My Sister's house is definitely the party house. Always something going on, they know how to entertain and that's just what kids need.

On our last day in St. George we got a sitter for the three younger kids and went for a fun hike @ leeds. The scenery was amazing and the hike was scary at times, but so much fun. Rena and Chris really know those mountains. Thanks so much for the good times!

WICKED WEEKEND!

When Jill invited Brooke and I to LA, she really didn't think our husbands would let us go, but they are amazing. We took off friday afternoon and the party began. The flight was so peaceful and relaxing. If you've ever flown with kids you know what a treat it is to fly without them. We had so much fun shoppong, eating, and playing all weekend long. Thanks to Jill's sister-in-law who let us crash at her place. Thanks Melissa!

I almost dread Halloween every year. The costumes are such a a hassel. By the end of the night most of their costumes end up in my arms anyway. My girls told me something different everyday that they were going to be. So sad for them, I had already bought the cowgirls outfits. They were the cutest cowgirls I had ever seen!

When you want to be something scary you are to old to trick or treat. I'm afraid this was Kate's last year trick or treating. Besides she never even eats her candy. She still has most of hers from last year.

Cabin Trip

This was our first trip to the cabin without any family or friends. Just our little , ok big family. We needed some down time with nothing going on. The kids played outside most of the time, actually playing together and getting along with one another. The weather was absolutely beautiful. It was almost like fall.

We took the kids up to sunrise to ride the lifts.. it was quite chilly! (notice the blanket)
by riding the lifts our kids were able to get season passes for the the year. Score! Let's hope we have a big snow year.

mylee's party was a big success! She wanted to go to Glitter box for her birthday and when i found out how expensive it was I quickly decided I could pull off a party just as good as they could, if not better. The cake was amazing! A girl from James and Ashlee's old ward made it for me. She has a real talent. I simply told her what I was thinking and she created a masterpiece. I had quite a bit of help from my fabulous family. Jill, Aylssa, Carrie, & Brooke helped me pull the whole thing off. We did updo's for their hair, painted their toe nails, and did their make up. We had cake and so much fun. I can honestly say it was really enjoyable. Mylee was trully the queen for the night. I'm so glad to have some girly girls. Thanks to all my help. They are amazing!All the girls decked out! Mylee loved all her presents. Ty says now we don't need to get her anything.

Griff had his four month check today and weighed in @ a whoppin' 16lbs 5oz. He might top Kate, she weighed 20lbs at six months. We breed 'em strong and healthy! We are moving up the Diaper chain...size three here we come!

Mylee had her first soccer experience last Saturday. As you can tell from the pictures she's not afraid to get after it. She's #4. There were some girls on her team crying because someone had pushed them, I'm sure it was Mylee doing the pushing. She must get her aggression from her older sister Kate. I didn't get any pictures of Kate's game, but she scored two goals and had a few awesome assists. She got kicked in the face with the ball by one of her teammates and went down hard, but told herself.....I'm not goin' to cry over & over & then after about 20 seconds she popped back up and was ready to kick butt! It's going to be a fun soccer season with these girls.

Everyone has been asking for more pictures of Griff. To be honest, I haven't really taken that many pictures of the little guy. If my camera is'nt sitting out, which it never is because of my other crazy kids, I don't think to take any pictures. He is getting so big, 4 months on Wednesday. He has rolls like you can't believe. I love my chunk baby. We've nick named him Tank.

It's amazing how time flys! Griff rolled over today. He's only 4 months old and already feels like he needs to keep up with the rest of the crazy crew. I can't express the love our family has for baby Griff. He is trully a treasure!!!

1. What is the best thing you cooked last week?
This would have to be Tomatoe Alfredo with penne pasta. It's my sister Rena's recipe and it is delicious.

2. If money, time, & babysitting were no object where would you go and with who?
Easy, anywhere with my sisters. Spending time with them this summer made me miss them all sooooo much!

3. When was the last time you cried?
Oh my! I'm such a baby. I cry when Ty and I talk about our house plans, when I see Addie dance, and when I teach my lesson in Relief Society.

4. What is the most played song on your ipod right now?
Anything 80's! They all are so fun to workout to.

Well Ash, you know I'm not much of a TV watcher. I get the news and always fall asleep during it. I'm so boring.

I forgot we went here and I took lots of pictures. Our kids had so much fun there this summer. It was one of our favorite days in Carlsbad. We highly recommend it!

I can't believe I have three kids in school this year all day. Mylee was so excited to go to school. She is definitely the one of our kids that was really ready for all day kindergarten. She has beeen so excited she hasn't eaten her lunch all week. She comes home starving, so at 3 she eats her lunch. She's all about socializing.

We had so much fun with my family this summer in NC. For the second time all of my brothers and sisters and their kids got together to party. My kids love hanging out with cousins, swimming in the pool and playing in the waves. The water was alot warmer this year. Cole was back to his old tricks. You wouldn't have even known he broke his leg just three months before. It was so great to be with my family. I wish I lived closer to them.

Well here we are, our fellow bloggers. I'm a little behind.....Here he is Griffin Reinhold LeSueur. What a little angel he is. He's already two months. Time has really gone by fast. Five is a little crazy at times and really loud, but so much fun. I am really enjoying having another little baby around. Griff is so pleasant and easy going. Ty and I think he's our best baby yet. Our family has definitely fallen in love with him.
